Karen Laberee, MSc.

Karen is the Executive Director of BikeMaps.org, a research tool created to gather crowd sourced bike incident data that has evolved into a cycling safety research team. Karen is responsible for coordinating the BikeMaps.org team that includes researchers from University of Victoria, Simon Fraser University, Memorial University, and Arizona State University, along with municipal and advocacy partners from across Canada. Prior to BikeMaps.org’s creation in 2014, Karen was the manager of the Spatial Pattern and Analysis Research Laboratory at the University of Victoria. Currently, Karen is also the Victoria Program Coordinator with the INTErventions, Research, and Action in Cities Team (INTERACT).
